Nestled in the pretty village of Nuthurst, Gaveston Hall is a hidden retreat set within 100 acres of private woodland, meadows, lakes, and streams. A peaceful and protected environment, it’s the perfect backdrop for family gatherings, school trips, weddings, and celebrations.

Owned and run by Studentours (London) Limited since 1966 — and recognised by the British Tourist Authority and the Central Bureau for Educational Visits and Exchanges — Gaveston Hall has a proud history of welcoming groups from around the world.

Same historic charm — now with refreshed accommodation. After more than 50 years, Gaveston Hall is undergoing a major refurbishment, ensuring today’s guests enjoy the same beautiful setting paired with updated, more comfortable spaces.

Despite its secluded setting, Gaveston Hall is just one hour from London, with the South Downs National Park, Brighton, and the South Coast less than 40 minutes away.

London Gatwick Airport is also less than 30 minutes away, making Gaveston Hall easily accessible for both UK and international guests.

Here, children can explore the countryside and encounter some of our wild neighbours: timid deer, shy badgers, curious foxes, bats in their woodland retreats, and the rich life of our lakes and streams.
Make your stay as relaxing or as hectic as you choose; there is certainly plenty on offer to keep everyone busy.
